CNC Programmer-CAD Designer

Job Description:

BasTech is a high tech manufacturing company utilizing Additive Manufacturing as well as traditional Manufacturing techniques. BasTech serves various industries with a strong focus on aerospace and defense. Products range from prototypes from our multiple 3D Printing Systems in plastics or metal, to Production tooling and parts in Wax and Plastics.
Full-Time Monday-Friday 7:00 A.M.-3:30 P.M.
Candidates must be able to work occasional overtime to maintain production
CNC Programmer-CAD Designer who wishes to expand their knowledge and capabilities in an Additive Manufacturing environment.

Job Duties:

• Define set-ups and program for CNC machining centers using UG NX and/or MasterCam
• Work directly with CNC machinist and tool makers as a team to complete new projects
• Review 3D CAD geometry for machining/printing/quality control
• Develop 3D CAD geometry based on customer requirements
• Design fixtures and tooling required for manufacturing
• Design plastic injection and wax injection molds
• Generate 2D drawings for customer approval and use on the shop floor
• Generate Bill of Material for purchasing
• Define manufacturing plan to achieve profitable, on time delivery

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• CNC Programming 2 and 3 axis (min. 2 years required)
• UG NX, SolidWorks, MasterCam experience preferred
• CNC machining (1 year) preferred
• Good communication skills
• Injection mold knowledge is preferred, not required
